The History of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences

The values and development of cultural heritages are of unique importance for academic organizations. All prestigious universities in the world are located in countries where their ancestors have left an acceptable scientific and cultural background. The history of all the universities of the world indicates that the universities were mainly religious institutions as they formed in the Islamic reign during the Middle Ages.

Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, which is one of the largest universities in the vast country of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and perhaps one of the universities that can be considered at least one of the five largest universities in the country, has a rich and cultural background inherited from Hakim Abu Ali Sina (Avicenna).
