Dental Research Center of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences was first established in year 2000 and then later promoted to Dental Research Institute. This institute supports various types of research from the cellular level up to social problems of oral health.
This institute consists of three main research centers entitled "Torabinejad Dental Research Center", "Dental Materials Research Center" and "Dental Implants Research Center". There is also an animal research building, which provides all the necessary equipment for implementing animal research in all fields of dentistry. Moreover, the Clinical Research units, which are equipped with both choices of Sedation and General Anesthesia to facilitate the conduction of clinical studies. The Institute also houses a fully equipped and modern laboratory which can perform high-tech measurements in a variety of matrices, including a new Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) that has been installed for the convenience of the scholars, recently. It is also to mention that Dental Research Journal (DRJ) which is indexed in PubMed and Scopus databases is the main tribune of this institute for reporting the scientific findings.
